Our investigation indicates that 75% of the value of the

benefits of the Epilepsy South Africa programs accrues to

natural persons who are Black people. Furthermore, 95% of

these people are disabled.

In terms of clause 3.2 of Code 700 of the Codes of Good

Practice, the full value of contributions made by entities to Epilepsy South

Africa may be included as Socio-Economic Development

contributions by such entities.

This assessment was compiled and validated in terms of the Codes of Good Practice of the

Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act, published on 9 February 2007. The

assessment is valid until 2 June 2010.

Vision xQ Consulting cc (which operates under the governing conditions and ethics of the Institute for Independent Business) is not an accredited verification agency. Vision xQ will, however, be able to provide and independently endorse the assessment for Epilepsy South Africa as factual at any time.
