Wine Auction 2008:

Charity SA website : Well-known South African personalities, Soli Philander host of "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader", Gerry Rantseli Elsdon of Mnet and the singing Dr. Darren Green of Idols, rekindled for an evening of glamour at Cape Town's most luxurious Westin Grand Hotel. Four of the hotel's function rooms were booked to accommodate the many guests attending the Extravaganza of Wine charity auction, hosted by Epilepsy South Africa.

Extravaganza of wine - an auction not to be missed

2007's wine auction proved to raise an impressive R191,785. The highest bid being R20,000 for a Pearl's Gate, 225 litre barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz, that was blended by master winemaker Altus Le Roux. The event was supported by a number of wine estates and South African artists who donated exceptional works of art and a variety of top wines for the auction.
