Happenings

  1. Concert by the Jo Ellis Band at the Community Centre at The Crags on Tuesday 17th June 2008 in aid of the Group of Hope Support Group.  The group's drummer, Zaan Ellis, is a person with epilepsy who demonstrates that despite the challenge of epilepsy young people can still rock - and follow their dreams.
  2. Honouring our volunteers for their much appreciated assistance and generous support:  A Volunteers' Tea is to be held at the Residential Centre on Thursday 18th June 2008 at 10h00 - All our volunteers are invited.
  3. For information on epilepsy and services available to people with epilepsy/ their families or caregivers(in the South Cape/ Karoo region), listen to Owena (Afrikaans/ English) and Glory (Xhosa) on Eden FM on Thursday 19th June 2008 at 15h00.  Listeners are invited to phone in with questions and queries.
  4. Epilepsy SA South Cape/Karoo will have a street collection on 4th July - we need your support!!
  5. All visitors to the Pick'n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival in July:  Once again we will be selling our delicious pancakes at the Epilepsy SA South Cape/Karoo stall.  Visit us for the best pancakes in town and support a great cause.  Our organisation not only benefits from the proceeds of our pancake stall, the Festival also presents an opportunity for residents at our Epilepsy Centre to volunteer their services and make a contribution to the success of the festival in our
  6. beautiful town.

Ongoing Projects

Internal fundraising by placing small change tins at businesses in town / or personal capacity.

Casual Day stickers to be available soon. Contact us if you wish to buy stickers for yourself/ your employees/ learners.  Casual Day takes place on 5 September - this is your opportunity to show your support for people living with disabilities.

It's that time of year again - Epilepsy SA South Cape/Karoo's well-known annual fundraiser, the Car Raffle.  Tickets at R5 per ticket or R50 per booklet of 10 tickets will be available soon.  One of the cars- a Toyota Yaris- was won by a local last year.  This year it might just be you.  Call us on 044 3822155 to order booklets.
